POWER: 9/10
PLENTY of power for street runs! The weakest link in the steering is not the servo anymore (the 1258 had a bit of trouble turning at full speed)
the new problem is traction with the ground!
SPEED: 7/10
Feels slow compared to the previously installed 1258, but is still plenty sufficient even when zipping around close to 60mph. I am completely satisfied with the speed. It COULD be a bit faster, but I see no issues in the future. The servo actually feels and looks a BIT FASTER now (after a full 4000MAh 6S pack) than when I first took it out of the box. It might have needed a small "break in" period. Who knows, maybe it isn't done breaking in yet!
CENTERING: 4/10
So here's the deal, this servo sucks at centering.
I trimmed it off before starting the run, and every once in a while I'd notice it tracking slightly to one direction or the other. It was not very bad, and didn't happen all the time. I did not touch the trims, and kinda just "dealt with it". Only once or twice did it get really bad, but it was corrected by simply steering.
I do not see myself having too many issues with the centering in the future, I don't think I'll be doing too many speed runs. We'll see tomorrow or Sunday how it performs in off-road conditions.
Today's conclusion:
I have no regrets buying this servo. The 1258SC has an SC in the name for a reason, it belongs in SHORT COURSE trucks. I was ready to break the budget and buy a ~$50 used servo online to get something decent for this buggy, but you simply CANNOT beat the $12 price tag of the Power HD 1501.
The centering is pretty bad, but I am ready to suck it up and correct on the fly, it'll keep it more interesting! The only time you can ever even notice it is when trying to go in a perfectly straight line as fast as possible on smooth, new concrete.
As of right now, I would recommend this servo to ANY budget basher.
Racers might want to re-consider due to the centering, but don't you worry, I will be testing this puppy on a high-traction clay track sometime in the near future!
kelebihannya untuk power dan speed cukup mumpuni dengan harga yg menggiurkan
tetapi kembali lagi yg bermasalah adalah center level saat menerima getaran kurang baik...artinya servo cenderung bergerak saat menerima getaran..
