New Turnigy 9xR confirmed !
Hobbyking have posted a few tweets this week confirming the new 9xR is in the works. There is very little info available, but I can quote the following from twitter:

" module based with inbuilt 2.4 antenna plus options for FASST, DSMX & long range 433mhz plus it looks & feels much nicer."

" 9X will be replaced by 9XR later this year (worth the wait, trust me)"

" its been 18 months in the making. I should have more information soon. - Anthony"

Photos should be released in a few months. That's all we know for now but I'll update when any info is forthcoming and buy one for review as soon as they are released.

Update on the Turnigy 9XR
From HK:


- The 9XR has a pin-out in the battery compartment for easier custom firmware flashing without needing to open the case.
- It will use the atmega chip and can be flashed with your existing customised software. In fact, it comes standard with a similar rom to ER9x.
- Backlit screen
- Has inbuilt and module based antenna system
- Spare parts available
- Improved switch and pot quality
- The 9XR will be $50.00
- We're working with Frsky on a module for the 9XR

Tapi mudah2an firmware-nya okeh.. Sy dah pake yg Turnigy9X tp dgn modul
Frsky DJT, so far oke. Tapi ada tapinya, stick aileron itu kalo digerakkan ke kiri-kanan di channel Throttle kena pengaruh(dilihat dimenu display). Sama stick di throttle itu kalo dr 0 digerakkan sampe ke 100, belum sampe 100 petunjuk dimenu display sdh menunjukan full
